Writing songs that pull you into the moment &
make the world fade out
A great song feels like a four-minute escape — it should wrap around the listener, pull them into the present moment, and make the world fade out. Foil Heart exists to create those kinds of songs: melodies with strength and resilience, paired with storytelling that’s strong enough to let real emotion shine through.Founded by Dallas songwriter and producer Carter Stewart, Foil Heart grew out of a lifelong connection to music. Carter learned early how to blend structure with feeling — from building a basement studio with his dad at twelve, to years spent performing, arranging, and working as a commercial audio engineer. That experience shaped the Foil Heart approach: clean progressions, memorable hooks, and arrangements that feel alive the moment they hit the speaker.Influenced by artists like Delbert McClinton, Otis Redding, Garth Brooks, and Stevie Wonder, Carter puts them all in a blender to make, current sounding, hit-worthy songs for today's listeners. Writing styles include, but are not limited to - red dirt Country, Country-Rock, retro Soul, Dance-Rock, and Pop-leaning Alternative.Carter is available for co-writing sessions, briefs, and artist-focused pitches, crafting songs that draw listeners in quickly, build naturally, and leave space for the artist to make them their own. Lyrical changes for individual artist tailoring is welcomed for all songs.
